Hard to put this weekend into words! I definitely felt some butterflies this morning. Never know what to expect when you launch a new location!
We kicked off our Greater Things series. Gonna be a faith-building series for us corporately and individually. We'll do three message on three passages in John's gospel where that phrase greater things is repeated.
Really enjoyed preaching this weekend. I've been praying for more of a prophetic anointing. I don't just want to speak timeless truth. I want to speak timely truth. I want to say the right thing in the right way at the right time. Nothing like those moments during a message when you really feel like God is speaking through you.
After preaching at Union Station this morning I drove out to Kingstowne for the Grand Opening of our fifth location. For what it's worth, I made it in nineteen minutes flat. Just sayin! I walked into the theater having no idea what to expect. And you have to measure your expectations. I told our team on Friday that we can't focus on how many people show up. We don't control that. We simply need to focus on blessing everybody that walks through our doors! I walked into the theater and had a hard time finding two seats! Props to our campus pastor, Chris Jarrell, and the entire launch team!
The highlight of the day? Well, I took Josiah with me to the Kingstowne service. And he kept humming our theme song for this series, God of this City. So cute! Put a smile on my face!

keep rocking it in Jesus name!
Really cool to hear about your new location! Am sure that your launch team practiced simply radical hospitality and that worship inspired and transformed! Blessings as new disciples come and follow Jesus with you!
Found a typo (Where We Are) page opening line still says "four locations"
Congrats on the launch!! Awesome stuff!!
that's really exciting!
How exciting! I LOVE that song by Chris Tomlin. It is so powerful and such a great prayer to sing over the city.
How fantastic. God is simply amazing. And I have to say, having lived in Kingstowne, 19 minutes?! You do know that radar detectors are illegal in VA, right? (j/k!)
Rob Gillen Thanks for catching that oversight. Corrected.
