Baptism between Good Friday and Easter

Bookmark and Share

One of my favorite NCC traditions is our Easter Baptism. We got the idea a couple years ago. Baptism symbolizes our death to self and new life in Christ. It seems to me like the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter is the perfect symbolic time to do it.

If you're interested in getting baptized, we have an informational meeting on Sunday, April 5, at Ebenezers @ 2 PM. The actual baptism will be on Saturday, April 11, during our 6:30 service @ Ebenezers.

Easter morning baptism is also the tradition of the ancient church, being one of the few times that those who had completed catechism could be baptized.
