Those of you who are familiar with geocaching might have a slight advantage in this virtual hunt. But anybody can win. And no sign-up is necessary. Here's your first clue. You'll find the goose with the next clue here: N 38° 53' 49.36", W 77° 0' 11.95"
Let the chase begin.

so that's Ebeneezers, but how do you find the clue if you aren't there? or can't get there?
Hook a brotha' up!
It just takes one person to find the goose and everyone will get the next clue. Know anyone in DC that's playing the game?
Let's make this simple...let's just say that my wife and I win and call it even :)
Wait, so you have to be IN DC to win a trip TO DC?
Oh no, this is the first of a series of clues. We just need one person in DC to get the goose and move the game along. :)
The first clue is IN D.C., near Union Station. You have to go there, find the clue and post it.
Give me the trip to DC, and I'll come find the clue.
Since it's a 'virtual' hunt, I suspect you don't have to physically go to each location...
Here it is!

I found him. He's right here on this page underneath the words "Let the Chase Begin"

Like revkevgcc said, the coordinates are for Ebenezers Coffeehouse. Now to find 'the goose with the next clue'.
Yikes . . . this is harder than I had hoped! So, I agree that being a "virtual hunt" we do not need to be in DC to find that Goose. It must be somewhere on Ebeneezer's web site but I can't find him. Good luck to the rest of you . . . I need to do some work now, no more hunting today. :(
There is a bird on the FEDLOCK truck in the google earth pictures: clue?
this is weird... so a bunch of people in different cities will work to get clues and then they share them here to keep the game moving. Then only one person gets the prize? is that the way it works? Will you have to be lucky enough to have the last clue in your home city?
I called Ebenezer's asking about the goose, feeling a bit like the kid in school whose best friend was the bus driver.
One of the staff assigned to deal with the chase told me that the next goose will be there, and that whoever discovers it has to be there in person. However, I was told that that individual would post the next clue to the blog.
I guess we shall see...
Just to clarify- only a portion of the clues are in physical locations- most will be virtual clues that everyone can find. In the end, the last clue is up for grabs as long as you have the internet. It is a group effort along the way but every man/woman for yourself in the end. - Jenny from the Threads Team
Ok...Hours are until 9pm, any takers??? Although good artist on Thursday night, so I might have to pop in there then
So, what is the motivation for someone who is already in DC to find a goose and post the next clue? They are already there . . . it's those of us NOT in DC who would like to win a trip to DC! Hmm, it is a great excuse to visit the best coffee house in the area. Help coffee lovers out there.
A new iPod shuffle, compliments of Threads, is the motivation for a DC'er to go get that goose! Once you follow the instructions with the goose, I will track you down and get you the prize. Help all of the other players and reveal the next clue!- Jenny from the Threads Team
BUT JENNY... In Southern Maryland, wish I did not have to rush in the traffic to get there...Baby needs a IPOD!
so... those of us NOT in DC just wait? why would someone divulge this info to us if they were in DC and could continue without telling us?
Hey Thaddeus...
Honor system? I don't think so. I want the trip! Too bad I don't live in DC.
The goose finder will have to follow instructions and post the next clue online- otherwise the game cannot go on. No worries if you don't live in DC. Everyone has a fair chance to win the prize in the end. -Jenny from the Threads Team
Will there be any clues in Budapest or Berlin? Just hoping to be some help...
here's the next clue: www.angeadh-glas.com
I found this clue at Ebenezer's coffee House. Good luck with the rest of your search. See you in DC
Regards,
Sarah Shapack
P.S. www.angeadh-glas.com will be the hub for all game activity and clues. Check it out for the next clue from Mark.
Sara, Congrats on finding the goose! E-mail me at jenny.williams@lifeway.com so I can arrange to get you your iPod. Thanks for chasing the goose! -Jenny from Threads
