Last fall I gave my son, Parker, four birthday gifts representing our four family values: humility, gratitude, generosity, and courage. It was really the culmination of the discipleship covenant we had signed. For generosity I gave him $50 but said he had to multiply it and use it for someone else.
Long story short, that $50 turned into chickens for an entire village in Kenya. Huge thanks to NCCers, Tyler and Lydia Lund, who are serving in Kenya and facilitated the gift.
These pictures make me wanna do a holy chicken dance!

That's awesome! Thanks for the idea!
Mark, I'm still waiting for that book on creative parenting from you. How about a series of Blog posts on the Discipleship Covenant, and other creative ideas you've used to spur on your kids.
I agree with Brent - put more about the Discipleship Covenant. How about providing what you did as a PDF?
Also, what were the other 3 gifts?
