I'm having coffee with Michael Franzese in a few weeks. Michael is the former mob boss who has come to faith in Christ. Amazing testimony! So I got a copy of his new book, I'll Make You An Offer You Can't Refuse. Very counter-intuitive read which I like. Lots of street smarts culled from his life as part of the Colombo crime family.
Jesus told us we need to be shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves. Honestly, I think that is what the book is about. Cool juxtaposition of Machiavelli and Solomon. And I added a new Italian word, consiglieri, to my dictionary. You'll have to read it to find out what it is. Just kidding! A consiglieri is an advisor or counselor. Everyone needs one!
