This has to rank as one of the greatest weekends of my life.
I participated in my first official Corn Hole Tournament Saturday afternoon. Then Lora and I celebrated our anniversary on Saturday night. It was a double whammy weekend.
You can't really call us "National Champs" even though we won the National Corn Hole Tournament because it was National as in "National Community Church" not "National" as in the United States of America. But we did win! I was on Team BattGall with my bro-in-law, Robb Schmidgall. Definitely a mix of teams. Some amateurs. A few pros. But we managed to go undefeated after trailing 17-13 in the championship match. Good times.
Here's the whip cream on top of the hot fudge sundae. The grand prize was a $100 gift certificate to Fago De Chao. We used it two hours later for our anniversary dinner. That's what I'm talking about. Doesn't get much better than that.

You the man!
Hey Pastor!
Congrats on the Championship!
I would like to tell you that your ministry inspires me and when I was in DC I never missed one sunday at Union Station.
I look up to you and your ministry and what God has done in DC through you and your family.
Some questions:
How hard would it be for you to advise me on problems I have been facing in my church?
Is there any way to watch the sunday ministry over the internet?
Sorry to do this through your blog but it is the only way I found!
By the way, hope you like the Brazilian food at "Fogo de Chão". I am brazilian and currently live in São Paulo, Brazil.
Possibility of "International counseling"...has a nice ring to it! lol
God Bless!
