We wrapped up our Influence series. I think it might become an annual series. Loved having a variety of voices come and speak into our lives!
So great to hang out with Scott and Sue Aughtmon this weekend. Sue did a great job speaking on Mother's Day. Loved her take on influence. She said, "Moms live out the Great Commandment one little person at a time." Honestly, parents discipling their kids is more primal and more important than churches discipling people.
For what it's worth, Scott Aughtmon was our first church planter in residence. He now pastors Pathway Church in Palo Alto, California. I had totally forgotten this, but Scott is the one who originally told me about this thing called "blogging" back in 2003. He showed me an article in the Washington Post and I've been blogging happily ever after.
Never too late to give a shout out.

Great quote from Sue Aughtmon. Moms are among the most influential people on the planet. Mothers shape future presidents and pastors, giants of commerce and industry....or future con men and criminals. Thank God for moms who follow Christ, and influence their children for Him!
Thanks for giving me props, Mark! :)
It was really good hanging with you guys, seeing Joel and Nina, Christina, Steph and all the others.
It was good to laugh and share old memories. I still can't believe how good our kids got along!
