You ever have a revelation? A moment when you think to yourself: how have I lived this long without knowing this? I just had one of those moments at lunch with Todd Wilson and Pat Furguson.
I was slapping the bottom of the ketchup bottle when Pat asked if I knew "the secret." Yes, I've heard of that book but it seemed a little off topic. No, not that secret. The Secret. The pinnacle of the oracle of knowledge. Do you know how to start a brand new bottle of ketchup without slapping it on the end of the bottle until your hand is black-and-blue or sticking your butter knife in it. Imagine hearing choirs of angels right now. That is when Pat told me you have to...drum roll please--hit the 57 engraved on the side of the bottle. It's the magic spot. And sure enough. It worked. Voila!
Almost every night at our dinner table I ask the kids what they learned. I cannot wait to share what I learned today. Changed my life!
