This is so embarrassing I had to blog about it. I forgot to remove the size sticker from my shirt before preaching so I preached the entire night with an XL on my chest. Nice! The great irony is that I preached on Daniel 4:37: "He is able to humble those who are proud." Is the Lord trying to say something?
For the record, this isn't the first time it's happened. And it probably won't be the last. Hey, it could have been worse. I could have forgotten to close the barn door.

Oh how embarrassing! I went an entire day with my sweater on inside out once. Couldn't someone have told me?
Where's the picture? :)
Most Sunday mornings I get dressed in the dark so I have to be careful of the blue/black sock mistake.
One of my jobs as pastoral intern was to check the Senior Pastor's zipper to make sure it was zipped up before he went to the platform.
I preached an entire message, did the invitation, and presented new members before a "friend" whispered in my ear than I had left my barn door open.
Oh well, just close it and move on :)
It wasn't until I had finished teaching a Sunday School class when someone finally told me I had one navy shoe on and one black shoe...that's what I get for buying the same style in two different colors. :)
I went out on the stage without my microphone on. The lights went up, it was time to preach and I realized no mic on my chin. I walked forward, motioned to the tech booth and they pointed to one of the band handhelds.
Yep, its a church of a thousand so it was a big deal.
Man plans and God laughs! The wise soul knows to laugh along with Him. Hope you got a good chuckle out of it, I did, thanks!
What? No picture?
I walked on the platform with my suspenders hanging down at my knees. Very embarrassing...
