I had a revelation yesterday: the answer to every prayer is more of the Holy Spirit. Need more boldness? What you really need is more of the HS. Need more wisdom? What you really need is more of the HS. Need more love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness or self-control? What you really need is more of the HS.
The Holy Spirit is to the means to every spiritual end. And the good news is that God wants to give more than you want to receive. Just ask!

Amen & amen!..may we continue asking in prayer for Him to fill us overflowing... with His annointing spilling out of our lives..time with Him answers prayer & breeds strength beyond measure...thanks Mark for the reminder
Amen sir!
Amen. We need more of Him.
Do you think more of the Holy Spirit is happens when obedience happens? I'm not sure how it works but it seems to me that when don't obey God, we crowd out the Holy Spirit and make it hard for him to find room in us because we are bent on self worship. It's when we obey that we are continually submitting ourselves to Jesus and allowing him to have the room he wants in our lives. I don't know. Just a thought.
I hear and agree - but wonder if what really needs to happen if for the Holy Spirit to have more of us. I think at the point of salvation we have full access to all that God has to offer - i.e. the full measure of the Holy Spirit. Isn't it that we have substituted other things for Him in our lives. I agree with Dan Richardson!
I really was encouraged by your sermon on Sunday and it has changed my week tremendously. Standing on the promises of God truly provides such confidence to pray bold prayers knowing that my prayers are being heard. My prayer life is changed so much this past week. I feel like before I was just ranting and feeling like I'm speaking empty words. Now, I feel empowered, influential and intimate with my prayers. Just the sermon I needed to hear. Thank you.
Hey Mark!
I don't disagree with your point here at all, but do partially disagree with your language. It just seems like in this post you take a standpoint that the Holy Spirit is a commodity for God to dispense rather than a person in the Trinity with whom we commune.
That's not to say that this is your stance on the issue by any means, simply that the language seems to imply so. Maybe, instead of saying "we need more of the HS," we should be saying "we need a deeper, closer relationship with the HS."
Not to be divisive! Just a thought I had upon reading.
