I did an interview with PBS a few weekends ago about twitter and the church. Should air on the Newshour with Jim Lehrer in a few weeks. I continue to marvel at the way twitter is hitting the fan. Never seen anything experience such a rapid diffusion of innovation.
I know the twitter tag line is: what are you doing? But I honestly think they should change it to: what are you thinking. It's about so much more than simply sharing what you're doing. It's about sharing thoughts that are firing across your synapses. I think that is the added value I experience as a leader.
Just started following Rick Warren. He's the king of one-liners.
Love his latest tweet: so many talented people give 1st class allegiance to 2nd class causes that difuse their energy, weaken their impact & waste their lives.

i completely agree with the basic Twitter question.
more often than not, i have thoughts/questions/ponderings ... and then secondary thoughts of "i should twitter that." :)
Jim Lehrer? so cool! blessings.
Yea if Twitter were all about what people are doing...no one would use it.
All about the economy of links.
Looking forward to seeing that segment!
Loved the Rick Warren tweet. Short and sweet...and so true.

Please send a heads up when the Lehrer segment should air - we don't have cable at home and I don't want to miss it.
For whatever it's worth, Twitter has been the conduit through which I have been able to establish dozens of incredible relationships and see hundreds of opportunities (from organizing local events to getting involved with national trade organizations) - my world has grown exponentially thanks to twitter (I know, sounds like hyperbole - but it's true).
Really, let us know when the Lehrer piece is running.
We love your tweets, Mark. Always motivating. Helps people everywhere experience just how contagious it is to be connected to the Body of Christ worldwide... Didn't Jesus mean for it to be that way?
