The Call Heard Round the World

Bookmark and Share

So before the Favre dust settles, I thought I'd post one more blog. I'm not gonna lie. I'm a little giddy. As a lifelong Packers and Vikings fan, it's the best of both worlds for me. By the way, since I always have to explain how I could love arch rivals, I lived in both Minnesota and Wisconsin as a kid. What can I say? I love them both. Always have. Always will. Not possible? It's like loving two children equally. I just don't like it when they play each other.

I think the phone call that Brad Childress made giving Brett one more chance to unretire will prove to be the most important call in Vikings franchise history. The call heard round the world. The Vikings have been to the Superbowl four times. They have lost four times. I predict not only a Super Bowl appearance. I predict a Super Bowl victory. And it'll all trace back to that one phone call.

Do I think the Vikings are unbeatable? Far from it. I think they'll split with the Packers. But I do think they will win the Super Bowl. Favre won't be the MVP. Peterson will be. But what a way to go out. With a Super Bowl ring.

I agree, Bill. All roads to the Super Bowl must come through the team that has won it the most. Sorry Pastor. Still love you.

He has some great weapons around him. I think PErcy is going to be crazy on turf. We'll see if Brett can make it through 16+

Remember, it's not getting to the Superbowl that will be the feat (see Arizona Cardinals) it will be playing any of the mammoth AFC teams: Pats, Steelers, Chargers, and Colts to name a few.

Farve is good... but Brady, Roethlisberger, Rivers, and Manning good? Maybe 10 years ago.

Hey, don't forget about the Titans. It amazes me that the team with the best record last year is being left out. . . I know the Titans lost the last game with the Steelers and Ravens but give them some due.
