A Few Reflections

Bookmark and Share

Great weekend at NCC.

The highlight for me was the baptism video. I was literally shaking after watching it. Huge adrenaline rush!

We kicked off the Figuratively Speaking series on the parables. I really felt like the Lord helped me big time. It was a crazy week with final edits on my book so I didn't have quite as much prep time as usual, but the Lord really honored the effort. Grateful for His anointing.

Really cool to meet someone today who discovered NCC via twitter. Gotta love it. He saw the story on Newshour with Jim Lehrer and decided to check it out. I love hearing crazy stories about how people heard about NCC.

The toughest thing this weekend was saying goodbye to our Digital Pastor, David Russell. He's been a big-time blessing to NCC during his tenure here. They don't come any better. But that makes it easy to send someone off with your blessing. He's joining ranks with Chris Hodges and Church of the Highlands. Excited for them. Also excited about Jason Yost stepping in our Campus Pastor role at Georgetown.

I loved the baptism video too!!!! Is it going to put on-line by any chance? btw: Had 4 internationals with me today at Ballston. One was their first time ever in a church, another said she cried during "Wonderful Maker" song--she really loved it! Parables are so accessible for them. I'm glad they got to see the baptism video, too...neat for them to see the joy on the young converts' faces! I'm sure they will remember it. Thanks! Karen K

Is there any place where us Georgetown U students away from DC for the summer can find out about this Jason Yost?
