Sacred Roads

Bookmark and Share

Our discipleship pastor, Heather Zempel, just released a new small group study with Threads called Sacred Roads. So excited about it. Heather eats and breathes discipleship like no one I know. Awesome study about five dimensions of discipleship: relational, experiential, intellectual, personal, and incarnational.

Mark - Have you read any of Bill Hull's books? I am reading "Choose the Life" and am thoroughly enjoying it!

Peace,
Erik

Mark -
I am just excited to see someone else on the staff at NCC writing and publishing content for the "catholic" church.

That is discipleship!

You are passing it on in so many ways that it's inspiring to me to think about how I can be passing on my leadership to others...to think about what I am doing that I can share with others and challenge them to grow beyond me.

I'd be curious to know what kind of space/freedom you have given Heather to pursue this dream of hers to share content with churches outside of NCC? I've got the same question posed to Pete Wilson and how he worked with Anne Jackson.

thanks,

RJ,

We really view ourselves as a "teaching church" so we try to encourage all of our staff to make themselves available to other churches and leaders. We have a "liason" on staff who helps host visiting pastors. We share all of our stuff for free--from coffeehouse to media to discipleship. And I really encourage our staff to pursue and use their gifts to full potential.

Heather wrote Sacred Roads. And worship coordinator, Steph Modder, released an amazing CD, Hope's Got Me.

Mark
