It's official. Our 97 Honda Accord with 225,000 miles was stolen on Sunday night. Who steals a car with 225,000 miles on it? You know you live in the city when it doesn't even phase you. My mental reaction when the car was missing was: Huh, I think someone stole our car in a rather deadpan voice to self.
This is our third stolen vehicle in the past seven years. As a proud member of the Junky Car Club, I thought our junky car was safe. Honestly, I feel worse about my golf clubs in the trunk and five favorite shirts that were headed to the dry cleaners!

That is terrible and hilarious at the same time. Were there not cooler cars to boost?
Let's just believe that the the rapture came early for the clunker.

Let me know if you and Lora find yourselves in a pinch for transportation. Happy to allow you to use our extra car. Best - Michael
Unfortunately I think the spare parts on old cars are worth more to the chop shops than the whole vehicle is to you & I. But I know how you feel -- I sometimes wonder why I even bother to take the keys with me from my old '99 Saturn. However, if someone stole it when my old Jim Rice Red Sox throwback jersey was inside, I'd be whispering, "This isn't happening, this isn't happening ..."
Maybe they just wanted to steal your golf clubs and needed a way to transport them!
I had my 97 Honda Accord stolen from right in front of my house almost exactly one year ago. Must be that time of year!
Maybe the thief just really likes your taste in shirts!
Sorry, but I laughed out loud when I read this post. I am sorry about your car though. We had a Honda Accord a few years ago that made it to 300,000 miles before going to car heaven.
